SPRING 2021 YOUTH LACROSSE

Registration is COMING SOON! 

Youth lacrosse teams compete in the
Gwinnett Lacrosse League (GLL).

US Lacrosse youth membership is required and you will be prompted for your US Lacrosse member ID during registration. Join US Lacrosse here.

HOW TO REGISTER

1. Sign up for (or renew) US Lacrosse Membership for youth players. Important: a major benefit of becoming a US Lacrosse Member is access to secondary insurance coverage for all members who may be injured during practice, games or tournaments.

2. Register on the NYAA website (see registration listing at bottom of this page COMING SOON)

3. Certify your player (proof of grade and physical... see below). Certification is not necessary for Jr Laxers or Sticklets.

 

PLAYER CERTIFICATION DOCUMENTATION

All participants, with the exception of Jr Laxers or Sticklets, must have a current physical in order to play lacrosse (a physical dated on or after May 9, 2020) AND complete the 2021 GLL medical form (coming soon).

Proof of Grade - report card or other school documentation (or screen capture) showing current grade.

One you have assembled these documents, please upload them to the GLL certification website.



BOYS LACROSSE DIVISIONS

Junior Laxers
Grades K-1st; a Saturdays-only program designed specifically for young beginning players. There will be eight sessions, each lasting 2-hours and consisting of of drills and games. Location of lacrosse sessions will rotate each week at different GLL member associations.

Bantam
2nd-3rd graders playing 4 vs. 4 on a small, age-appropriate field.

Lightning
4th-5th graders playing 7 vs. 7 cross-field

Juniors
6th-7th graders (10 vs. 10, full field)

Seniors
7th-8th graders; advanced 7th graders play up at the higher level (10 vs. 10)


GIRLS LACROSSE DIVISIONS

Sticklets
Grades K-3rd; Saturdays-only program designed specifically for young beginning players. There will be eight sessions, each lasting 2-hours and consisting of of drills and games. Location of lacrosse sessions will rotate each week at different GLL member associations.

Lightning
3rd-5th graders

Juniors
6th-7th graders

Seniors
7th-8th graders; advanced 7th graders play up at the higher level


KEY DATES

1/26/21 - First practice - 6:00 PM at Cemetery Field (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
2/6/21 - Jamboree (Preseason scrimmage game)
2/13/21 - Regular season games (Saturday games)
3/6/21 - Sticklets and Jr. Laxers begins
TBD -  Youth Night at Norcross High School
4/3 - 4/10 - Spring break - no games
4/24/21 - Playoffs begin
5/8/21 - Championship


Note: Sticklets and Junior Laxers start the first week of March, but you can join any time. Sticklets & Jr. Laxers programs end on championship weekend.
